Jay 'Cob' Jacobs has worked professionally in the music business since the mid '70's. In the 80's he did a four year stint on the Oldie's/Doo Wop circuit where he had the opporunity to back artists like Del Shannon and Freddy Cannon, and play big stages like the Felt Forum, Beacon Theater, and Bottom Line. He also had the great honor of jamming with with Les Paul at his home.
Dennis 'Deej' Wilder has been rocking out and jamming in bands most of his life nailing the full gamut of musical genres, including rock, blues, R&B, country, pop and more. Playing all type of venues from holes-in-the-wall to Vegas-style stages, cruise ships, hotels, rodeo venues, radio events, and international specialty shows. He's worked for clients like Budweiser and a group cameo in a movie.
You'll find elements of rock, country, swing, traditional, and even bluegrass inspiration in the music of The Old Guise. There are no "formula" songs because each song is different and unique and gets written when its time comes, so it's hard to pigeonhole our music. One thing you can count on though is top shelf musicianship.
